I just bought an HP Paviliion with a Intel Core 2 6600 @ 2.4 ghz processor...
I want to replace the fans (the case fan and the heatsink fan) with fans that are both quieter than the fans I have now (both stock) and more effective than the fans I have now. A. Is this possible? B. Do you guys have any recommendations to replace my current fans. Thanks. PS If the fans will definitely be quieter, price is not an issue.

Yeah, it is possible to replace them...
You have to find out what size fans you have first, possibly 80mm. The CPU heatsink and fan, you may have to take the motherboard off to change these. AKASA make some good fans, I have some
