HP Pavillion 761c
Just put a new hard drive and a new copy of windows xp home (and all updates) on computer. Everything else is working except the AC'97 audio driver in the windows device manager has a exclamation point over it, it gives a code 10 i think. Dad's computer has no sound. Did a little research and appears other people have had the same problem when installing a fresh copy of windows but can't seem to find a fix. Tried downloading and installing the driver from the realtek website, didn't work. Sound card is built into the motherboard. Any ideas? |

HP's own support site will have the correct drivers. When you buy a complete system prebuilt you always go to that manufacturer's support site and simply look up your model. http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/s...&lang=en&cc=us
