I've search through the forums and couldn't resolve it.
I had my computer on all day w/o doing anything out of the ordinary except converting and trying to burn some video files. I was trying to get rid of the excess stuff with my Nero ultra so I modified it to only install the programs I need. I'm guessing it was because of this that my sound stopped. So, I un-installed the software and I'm still having the problem. I checked my drivers and everything is working fine. I'm updated on my audio codecs. I would try to do system restore back to yesterday, but for some odd reason that doesn't work on my computer. Even when I reformatted everything and started new last October, I still can't system restore. Also, it's not the speakers. I tried a different one and it's still the same. Tried using a headphones and it still isn't working. My volume is on max. Also, when I plugged in my headphones, I hear a little sound coming from the speakers so I know the speakers are still working. So, does anyone have any clue to solving this problem instead of reformatting the whole computer? Any help is appreciated. EDIT: I forgot to mention that I'm using the on board sound card on my mother board. |
