Default Torrent Yellow Light

I just cant seem to get a green light when downloading a torrent file. I disabled my windows firewall (only one i have) but still nothing.
I have Cable currently with a router leading the other pc. How can i fix this?
Im not that informed about ports and such so plz post simple.

You need to forward the ports that the program is using from the router to your PC.

This is done in the router setup/config.

look at what port the program is using, then just open the same port in the router's port forward/gaming and application tab.

i followed the instructions, did it but my torrent is still yellow and even slower than before

did you assign your computer a static ip adress? If not, port forwarding doesn't work.

Also, if your upload speeds/ seed ratio is too low, your downloads will be restricted.

And thirdly, if you're using an old version of the software, or if bittornado doesn't "play by the rules" and force you to seed, then most people wont even upload to you.

Furthermore, people have the ability (some programs like utorrent do it automatically) will ban you from uploading OR downloading to them if you share fake data, or don't upload.
