Lightbulb Difference between ATA100 & ATA133?

Hello guys, once again, I got a simple question for ya.

So I am about to purchase a new motherboard due to the malfunction of my old one. I happened to come across a few specifications on the new motherboard im looking forward to purchasing. What I noticed was that it is: PATA 2 x ATA100 up to 4 Devices.

My question is: What is the difference between ATA100 & ATA133?

I noticed that other motherboards list ATA133. I don't know what my HD falls under so I am wondering if there is a difference between ATA133 and ATA100? Or are they the same thing?

ATA100 and ATA133 are just the speeds that the devices plugged into the ATA sockets will transfer data. You won't notice any difference between ATA100 and ATA133, as most modern harddrives can't even transfer data at ATA100 speeds. If you do get ATA133, you harddrives, etc, are backward compatible and will work.
