I just bought these used off Craigslist. I know they're discontinued but I researched them and they generally got pretty good reviews.
I was wondering if anyone here had any experience with them. Here are the specs. Product Features * Maximum performance when combined with any two channel Sound Blaster sound card * Heavily reinforced cube-style subwoofer for solid bass and a protective coating for durability * Contour around satellite driver provides optimum sound dispersion and precise sonic imaging * Built-in amplifiers tailored to optimize the sound of the speakers resulting in smooth natural sound normally heard on high-end speakers * 12 watts RMS from compact subwoofer and 4.5 watts RMS from each satellite Technical Details * Model: 2400 * Item Package Quantity: 1 * speaker_type: PC multimedia speakers * speakers_nominal_output_power: 21 Watts * speakers_maximum_output_power: 21 Watts * speaker_amplification_type: Active * speaker_connectivity: Wired * remote_control_description: Remote control To me, they sound pretty good. I had a Cyber Acoustics 3080 2.1 set, and was comparing the two tonight. They both are comparable, but I think the Creative subwoofer is a little better - deeper and clearer bass. So, I disconnected the Cyber Acoustics set and plugged in the Creative set. |
