I just set up my networking between my vista and xp comp. I don't know what i did wrong but i can connect to my Vista computer from my xp computer but i cannot connect to my XP computer from my vista computer. I can print files from my xp to my vista printer and even access files on my visa comp but whenever i try to access my xp comp it hangs for 5 min then gives my this. "Windows cannot access \\bawls\hp" An when i hit "diagnose" it gives my this:
"Windows cannot find "bawls" "Windows sent the request to the DNS server and the server responded that the name was unknown." Is there any way to just erase all my network setting and start from scratch with out having to reinstall vista? because i think i installed two workgroups and i set up the network on my xp the it asked me to put a cd in and put that cd in the computer i want to network with so i put the cd in my vista comp and it gave me an error at the end. so i don't think the installation finished. Are there any programs/tools that erase or manage your networks?
