I just got a Sandisk Titanium U3 2GB USB drive... it's cool, I plug it in, windows XP installs the drivers and all, then I try downloading and installs FireFox though the U3 built in program downloader, it finishes downloading and starts to install it... Then it froze...................... OK I decide to unplug it, I plug it back in and now the U3 interface won't load, however the virtual CD ROM still shows up in my computer and the USB drive part works fine. I do a system restore, but still no help. I downloaded the U3 software removal tool form sandisk and ran it. It successfully removed the U3 part and the virtual mounted CD ROM was gone from my computer. then I ran the U3 installer I downloaded from sandisk, it starts downloading updates and then begins to install it on my drive........ then I get an error message "Launchpad installation failed!". If I open up my computer I can now see the virtual CD ROM again and the USB drive part still works but if I try to open the CD ROM drive to start the Launchpad every thing just freezes up!

Oh and also it gets very warm when it's plugged in, is this normal?

My instinct is that it's fried! but I though I'd post my problem and see if anyone can help or has had a similar experience.
