hi, im new, dont kill me!

well i purchased supreme commander few days ago and installed it but I get low fps(i have to put it on the lowest setting,,, its driving me crazy), so I tried to update my graphics driver, but whenever I download them and run it I get a bsod.

here is my computer specs:
CPU: Intel core 2 cpu T7200 @ 2Ghz
Ram:2GHz. 2GB of Ram
Graphics:GeForce go 7400
Driver version of Geforce 7400: 8.6.0.2

and its a laptop

and here is what it says on bsod:
A problem has been detected and windows has been shut down to prevent damages.

check to be sure you havee adequated disk space. If a driver is identified in the stop message, disable the driver or check with the manufactory fopr drivers updates. try chaning video adapters

check with your hardware vendor for any Bias updates. disable bias memory options such as chaching or shadowing. If you need to use safe mode to remove or disable components, restart your computer, press f8to select advan(cant read my handwriting) startup
