Default customising windows xp

hi,
I want to customise my XP appearance like taskbar, start menu, window frames etc.. and XP hasn't got any decent application built in to it, and only three colours for the themes.

Is there any free programs to download where you can customise XP?

thanks,
monoman

you can download windows xp themes, but they don't work very well

you're better off using a retail program like windowsblinds, otherwise the effects aren't gauranteed to work well, and may or may not be reversible

thanks Ive downloaded windows blinds now, the shareware version and have downloaded a theme from www.wincustomise.com. the theme looks quite good, but it seems to have slowed down my computer quite a bit at startup. Im sure this isnt down to a virus, but could possibly be running some background processes. has anyone else found this who has tried it themselves, and knows how to sort it out?

I have the full version of WB5, works great no slow issue, the only time it slows down is when i open photoshop or some heavy program but other than that is ok on my part
