Default Linux Installation

Just earlier, I downloaded Mandrake Linux.

I decided to put it on a 1.5gig HD. For some reason, i don't get anything on the monitor to go to setup, startup, NOTHIN!

I had the same prob with Win ME on the same comp, diff hard drive. I had changed the Video Controller or Card, and then i didnt have anything on the screen.

Is there any way to get something on the screen?!?!?!

I really wanted to get Linux on it tonight, so if anyone can help me tonight, that'd be great!
