Question Hmm...I wonder if Corsair XMS DDR2-800 can OC to this speed....

Well, I don't know why I would want to do this, but just because I want to know, can the RAM is stated above OC to 1024MHz? lol. Sounds crazy, (most likely is!) But hay, I had gotten to 1000MHz before (Didn't realize at the time that you could lower the memory multiplier, and also, thought it just effected the speed of the FSB, didn't know I was overclocking at the time. lol.) But I don't want to kill anything. lol.

I got my Corsair XMS2 675Mhz RAM to 1020Mhz, so I'm sure it's possible.

yes, I mean XMS2...what do you have it at now?

Edit- the multipliers only allow from 840MHz (something like that) to 1024...from 2.0 to 2.5

Not when you manually change the FSB. Right now, I have my processor @ 3.1Ghz = 443Mhz x 7 (CPU Multiplier). So, the RAM is currently at:

2.0 (Memory multiplier) x 443Mhz = 886Mhz

Enable manual control of the CPU FSB in M.I.T. Section of the BIOS.

You might have to press CTRL+F1 at the root BIOS menu to get all the controls you want/need in the MIT section.

OH. When I get my new 8800GTS I will try that. Right now, I sold my 7900GS so I could get money for my new card.

I think they are talking about DDR2 800 ram, which is for system use, not for the graphics card.

I think he is saying he has no video card right now so he can't try it.
