Default For those who own radio control petrol Airplanes

Alright let me start by telling you what type of RC Place i use and what the problem is.

I own a Ripmax Mascot 1122 plane and its been running quite smoothly and it was quite fine yesterday taking off landing no problems. Today when at my local flying club we ran into a big pickle of a problem. Four other peoples planes had crashed after they flew over this other field and near some trees and at that point its where they decided to crash.

Now we had our frequincies set so that none else could jam our radio gear but the strange thing is why are the planes just losing control and taking a heavy dive. My plane is in bits and im really fuming about this. Ive had new parts put in so its not that and my question is what could possibly cause the planes to just dive and lose control like that.

Two other people had a mid air collision near that area so does anyone who owns a RC plane have any idea what this maybe?

Any help would be welcome!

I used to play wit h (crash) these airplanes... I got really good at rebuilding them. Anyway, I am also a real pilot.. and there might be a few reasons for this.

What type of terrain os in the area which this occured in? Is it over or near a pond/lake? (thinking about rising or sinking air).

I dont think it would be a radio malfunction, because the servi down for your airplane may be a servo up on another. Meaning why would they just dive.

It could have been a change in wind SPEED, which deacresed the lift available.

How big was the area where all the planes were crashing? Did it always happen, or randomly happen?

well.. you usually have 2 types of transmitters/recievers, frequenty modulation, or amplitude modulation. but please dont forget that every radio etc works with either of these techniques too.

It could be that somone near that place owns/uses a hobby radio transmitter, when you are close to one of those, your connection to the plane will be jammed quite a lot for example.

You can never stop someone jamming a radio frequency, its quite impossible on standard frequencies. If they wanted to all they have to do is broadcast a stronger conflicting signal in the same freq range and boom, your weaker broadcast is gone (or at least not receive-able by the plane anymore)

Well we do fly near some trees in fact at least 7 of them all next to each other and there are what i think are pylons, telephone poles im curious as to if these may be a factor to consider. Also the planes seem to just lose complete control even when the engines off and then it will swurve a bit and then kaboom right into the ground. Whats worrying about this is that within the same day 7 other peoples planes crashed the same way and two other members had a mid air collision near the tree area to.

Bermuda Traingle for RC Planes perhaps or some foreign signal doing this.

well, you have different crystal sets 40.565MHz and 40.560MHz for example, you can use those 2 next to eachother without a problem, since the crystal defines the,.. well, carry wave frequenty, and the signal is putted on tope of that.

I think what he means is you can't stop someone from intentionally jamming a frequency.
