Default LOTS of rain!

As some of you may recall, about a month ago I took some photographs of the river that runs through our property partially frozen over. Well, yesterday (3/2) we had almost 3 inches of rain, and as you can imagine, the first thing I did when I got home from school was go out out to the river. In combination with the rain, there was still some snow on the ground from Monday's snow storm, which contributed to the flooding that was seen around my town.

To compare, here is a tree that fell over last year, a few weeks ago:

and yesterday:

As always, all of the originals are 2048x1536 and are available, PM me if you want one.

Took an Audi A3 2.0 TDI with 140PS, which equates to roughly 130BHP, we went down a road that is usually passbale, but today there must have been 8" of rain! Even the torquey diesel couldn't push against the sheer amount of water pushing up against the bonnet! T'was hilarious as the water sloshed onto the top of the bonnet, made the brakes perform poorly though.

I'm not quite sure if it's the highest, but probably as high, if maybe an inch or two less, than the highest. I think the highest I can remember is one week last year, when it just rained non stop for literally a week, and it was about the same conditions.

Our house is actually in the flood plain...the 50 year flood plain extends up to our garage, and the 100 year flood plain extends all the way past our house.

you got insurance for that. Connecticut looks nice. I like the woodsy feel in the pictures.
