Default Opinions wanted on new monitor

I'm thinking about getting this monitor and wanted some second opinions. Is this a good monitor and a good price? Can I do any better for less than $300? Thanks for any help.

Hmm, I think the 2ms response time is Grey to Grey not black to white, but its still a ripper screen, I would get one if I have to cash.

That's rather expensive, You can get something bigger and better for the same price and cheaper.

depending on your desk space, and what you like to do - you may consider a CRT monitor. i mostly play "PREY" and some older PC games, and AutoCAD - i have this one:

it's big, it's heavy... but i love the picture quality it gives, and if you have the space... i highly recommend it. i'm actually considering buying a second one to use at work.

I sure like the price, but I want a wide screen LCD. Will use for some gaming and mostly web surfing with some picture and video viewing.

You can go for widescreen, it's your choice, but fair warning, not all games support widescreen. Don't forget my suggestions.

"Bigger" I get. But what makes the "Better" better? The price is higher in the end than the Samsung I'm looking at. With rebate and tax I'm out the door with less than $300. I know the 2ms is G to G but I think I read that the B to B is like 5ms on the Samsung. Correct me if I'm wrong.

I meant to edit that post, it wasn't supposed to be better...Just a figure of speech? I'm not sure what I was thinking. But the reason I made a link to the smaller one is because I didn't know if you wanted to spend $300 on a monitor. So I showed you a cheaper version of the same size. And if you want something bigger for the same price. I would get the 22".

there are a ton of games out there that support widescreen, it's pretty much a standard now.

I was thinking of getting that monitor as well, i saw it instore, it looks awesome in rl. Only problem is price, your paying for quality here, if you want a budget screen, go for those offered in here.

I was looking at a 22inch, and that thing is huge, a 20in should be fine, pplus it'll be easier on your graphics card.
