Default Where are the files ?

Just put some documents on to a mem stick to transfere onto another computer.
Once the files had finished copying i turned computer off, because it takes so long to shut down i pulled the power cbale out when it was still running ten i took the mem stick out of the computer.

Whne i put it into m=new computer in the properties it says there is like 50 mb used, but when i look at it in explorer there is only one folder, which is empty, so all the files i just copied dont seem to be there

Any one know if it was becasue i pulled the plug out, or cuild it be a hardware problem? Or is there anyway i can access the folders on the mem stick (because in properties its says they are there)

Thanks
