Hi all!
Just bought a refurbished IBM T41 laptop and was wondering about the harddrive capacity that came with it. The laptop uses a Fujitsu MHT2040AH 40Gb 2.5" drive, but under windows it only displays as having a maximum capacity of 33.9Gb. I know that the size of a drive is less after formating, but this seems quite a bit less that what it should be, or does this seem about right for a laptop drive? I know the T41's usually have a hidden recovery partition, but I've used tools like partition magic to try and find wether or not mine is still there, and it looks to me if it was removed when the laptop was refurbished. Or is it that programs like partition magic can't see an IBM recovery partition? It's really bugging me, cus I've already had a few problems with the laptop, I'm having to replace the wrist rest and base plastics due to being sent a B class laptop instead of the laptop ordered, but anyways ...any help with this would be appreciated. Cheers. Last edited by crazeefuker; 03-07-2007 at 01:29 AM. |
