Obfuskated Virus Creating Problems on my Computer

Hi everyone, just got a brand new computer set it up on Sunday and AVG the free edition 7.5 (the latest version) has detected the Obfuskated virus EIGHT times since yesterday. I says its cleaned it and I guess the virus keeps re-writing itself and so it keeps getting detected.

I did a scan in safe mode which didnt find the virus.

Also I cannot remember my administrator password can anyone assist with these issues?

Also ive tried searching for ways to get rid of the virus but the search results bring up the virus name with a C instead of a K.

So I dont know if the one on my computer is some variant or what.

Ughhhh

Any ideas or instuctions on how to get rid of this virus would be GREATLY appreciated.

Run a HIjackthis scan.

Let us know the result.

Hi, well I know this might sound silly to you but I have no idea what a hijackthis scan is. I have seen where others have mentioned it before on another forum though, so ill go there and see if I can get further insight.

Also try using avast antivirus aswell until you get it fixed
