WHY IN THE WORLD CAN't I PLAY IT!!!!!

sorry im angry.
anyway, I was trying to do a lan game of AOE II and when it begins the load it, it randomly closes itself. I think its because both of our laptops are "too good" and have core 2 duo's... are there any patches, or any being made.. Is there any way that you can turn off one of the cores. Thanks..

Try right clicking on the AOE2 program then go to the: Properties>compatibility tab and then then choose to run it under windows 98. See if you have all the patches also.

I run AoEII fine on my laptop, as well as my previous desktop with a Core 2 Duo and 8800GTS.

Where exactly does it crash at? And are you trying to use a no-cd crack?

i wasn't trying to use a no cd crack I actually have multiple copies (so friends can play too) and it would crash while making the game, in between the start and actual beginning of the game, Ill do everything you guys said and get back to you too, thanks.
