Default Power Problems

I have a Toshiba Satalite A70. I've had the computer for a little over 2 years now. I'm currently deployed and my laptop will no longer even boot up. I made sure it is plugged in, the battery is in correctly and the plugged in light and the battery charging light is on. I waited until the battery light changed from orange to green, signalling that the battery was fully charged. I then pressed the power button, and it would not even try to boot. I then decided sense the warrenty had run out on it, that I would take it apart and see what was wrong with it. I had a buddy who used to repair laptops help me and after a little bit, we got it all stripped down. he then plugged the cord into the system board, pressed the power button and it turned on just fine, we put it back together after turning it off, tried powering it back up, and all I got was an orange blink from the power LED. We took it apart again and it worked just fine again after we stripped it down, so we started putting it back together piece by piece checking power after installing each piece. It checked good the whole way through. I took it back to the tent and went to use it and it gave me that same orange blink from the power LED.

Can anyone help?

Something is intermittent! When the unit was opened it worked tells me that you have even a bad connection or something drawing current to ground. You will most likely have to go over literally "everything" with a magnifying glass and small flashlight perhaps to find a cold solder point, loose contact, or something touching ground when closing the case up.
