Unhappy Can anyone help me out here?

Two days ago I had this disgusting privacy alert thingy coming up on my tab everytime I went on google. Somehow I got rid off but along the way I was messing about with registry. To cut the short story even shorter I now have problems log in to my hotmail. Everytime I try to log on to hotmail the name part turns yellow and it says my javascript is either blocked or my software doesn't support it even though i have the latest explorer and my yahoo only works if its a throw back edition ('97)
How can I fix this problem? I went on tools options and all my active x are abled so what can I do? what is problem here?

Was the registry change before or after the start of your problems? What was this change? Did you try a restore to the original registry settings?
