Default Building a new computer, need help with parts

Okay, for my birthday I have been given a budget of 2000 US Dollars to build a computer. It is going to be stricly for gaming because i already have a semi-good gaming pc that i will use as a multimedia pc. I'm going to buy the parts from Newegg and I need help choosing some parts. First, Im debating the AMD 3800, the 4000, FX 53, and the Intel 3.6 gh. For the graphics card I'm thinking a 6800 gt/ultra, or a x800pro/xt. Also, is it worth buying 2 10,000 rpm raptors in raid for the cost? Or would i better off going with a nice 250gb 7200 rpm drive from Samsung? Input would be greatly appreciated. 1 gb or more of ram is a necessity and I like coolermaster cases, but I know nothing about motherboards. The games i will be playing include, Source, Half life 2, Doom 3, Far cry, battlefield vietnam, Generals, and Chernyoabl when it comes out.

My current pc is a dell 8300
512 mb ram
2.6 ht processor
BFG 6800 oC graphics card
80gb hd
Audigy 2 ZS soundcard
19 inch crt
logitech 5300e

Thanks for the help!

I doubt you'd be able to without skimping on something. You would probably be fine with a A64 3500+ and 6800 GT. If you need a fast hard drive just get a couple 80 GB in a RAID0 configuration. Go for a GB of good memory, a good motherboard, and a couple optical devices. Check the price and see if you have extra money to get a better CPU or graphics card. Maybe you'll want another hard drive for storage if you have a lot of media like me.

I dont need a dvd burner because this comptuer will be for gaming only, my old dell has one anyways..

I know very little about ram, and motherboards. Can you guys help me pick it out?
That's 1,641$ at Newegg. Since this is a gaming only computer; My dell will be the multimedia computer, I think 74 gb will suffice. Also, if i need to i can change the HD and Screen to save about one-two hundred dollars more. Thanks for the help.
