Default my network issue (trying to add a wireless router)

I currently have a Dynex 4 port router, that is connected to my cable modem in my basement. There is a 50 foot ethernet cord wired through my vent up to my pc in my room. I would like to take this ethernet cord out and put it in the wifi router for the wifi. Then put another cable from the router wired to my pc. I can access the Dynex router page on my pc.
But I cannot get to the linksys one (192.168.1.1 i believe)
so how do I get this wifi to work? if I have the cable from the dynex plugged into either the WAN port or the first LAN port, and the other one wired to my pc, my wired connection works. I can't get my wifi to go though.
This is complicated to explain, sorry I hope you get it...

you need to disable DCHP server services on your wireless router, change the IP so it does not conflict with other router. Make the IP for the DHCP server (wired router) the gateway and DNS for the wifi one.

I cannot access the maintenance page for my wireless router though, only the wired one.

hook up one machine off your network to the router and configure it seperately, then hook everything up.

that'd be great if I could access http://192.168.1.1/

I cannot http://192.168.1.1/ from my pc.
Ip routing is disabled under ipconfig/all, but i don't think that matters.

So how do I access it?
