Default Overclocked CPU's, estimated life??? say E6400 at 3ghz?

ok so wats a Overclocked CPU's, estimated life??? say E6400 at 3ghz?

or if u want to take extream overclocking a E6400 at 3.8ghz (this is for example)so pretty much overclocked to the max while still stable how long do u think they'll last before they jst die(years, months, days?)?

so jst generally 2 questions kinda

1. ok so wats a Overclocked CPU's, estimated life for a modirate overclock say a E6400 at 3ghz

2. and second a Overclocked CPU's, estimated life for a extreame overclock max until unstable say somewhere between 3.4ghz-3.8ghz(depending on ur cpu)

As long as you keep the temps down, an overclocked CPU will live as long as a non-overclocked one.

A E6400 at 3.8? Maybe 3.5 or 3.6 if you are lucky...

It depends on the cooling and what voltage you have it at. Each one will be different, we probably won't know for another 5-10 years how long they will last.

No one can say how long it will last at a certain speed.

Yes and I think it would last long enough to become outcast in which you would want to upgrade it anyway.

As a general rule most OCer's go by is that you will need to upgrade before the cpu's goes bad.

I think this is true, unless you do not know what you are doing.

Exactly as the above two said. By the time the CPU comes close to the end of its life, it will be so obsolete that it wouldnt even be useful anymore. Especially for gamers and hardcore PC users, who upgrade every year or so.
