Default Will this card work?

Hey everyone, first off I'm new to the forum. So take it easy on me here

Anyway, I wanted to install a graphics card on my PC. Just wanted to get some opinions on this, and any steps to install it would be great.

My motherboard.

My gf works at best buy so I'll get it a little cheaper than that even...... I just want some improvement for light games, and want the options of connectivity over just 1 vga plug like I have now.

No need to double post.

Unless shes paying under $100, don't get it, it's a complete waste of money. Im guessing she has a low end socket 478 chip, so I would just get something like the x700 for $50 or so.

Im almost positive that it will work, since 8x and 4x are compatible.

I'm looking at some cards in the $50.00 price range now........some hav RCA, S-Video and VGA out, now if I plug the VGA into my computer and the S-Video into my tv, would that put the same image on two screens or could I use one as an extended desktop?

http://www.tigerdirect.ca/applicatio...5814&CatId=692

or this one

http://www.tigerdirect.ca/applicatio...2496&CatId=693

I like that 2nd one because it has the S video and the 2 VGA plugs, I have a 17"lcd monitor and a 22" lcd monitor I'd like to plug in and use an extended desktop with them, would that work?

Would this be a good quick cheap replacement over what I have now?

The 1600 is better than those! If you want something better than the onboard and not spend much look for something like a 9600 or 9600 pro
46 bucks after rebait

I think I am pretty set on this card. Seems to be everything I want, and under $100.00, does anyone see a problem with this one not working with my system?

Right now the only game I play on PC is Stronghold 2, so this will be more than enough for that. For games I'm really just on the PS2 anyway.

Yeup Toronto Canada, and I have a Tigerdirect outlet about 20 mins from my house so that would be the easiest for me, since Best Buy has a very limited selection of cards.

I called and the last one I posted is in stock.
