i have a wifi router that gives a wired connection for my desktop and a lan for the laptops.

check your network settings and click around.

If that fails, post back here.

Edit.

Sorry, You said without a wifi router...

Uhmmm....

I dont think there is. Not that I know of.

Sorry.

Try a direct connect...connected an ethernet to both computers and having like a wifi internet or something.

good luck.

The best way is to connect your modem to your (wireless) router, then connect both your PC's to it.

You could setup an Ad-Hoc network between the two machines. Just connect the modem to one of them and set it up for internet sharing.

Default Sorry!

Sorry! it's my mistake, maybe it's my english, let my explain again.

I've two computers one of them with internet connection and the other far from the first one, I want to make this computer surf on the internet, i've found that i do this with a wifi router, but also i need a wifi access from my computer to that router, that means that i need to buy a lot of things, so my question is how can i do to make that computer surf on the internet without the wifi router, also a wired solution it's too expensive and hard to do because the computers are very far one of each other. Also I wish to know if i just buy a wifi card to each computer I can do what i want. Txs for your time.

get a MAXRANGE card + signal booster if they're that far apart.

How far are they? Wireless doesnt work well if its 300+ feet, and thats if its an opened area. Dont expect to get that range inside a house.

And wired isnt that expensive. You can buy 100ft of pre-made cable for just $8.

Are you saying that one pc is 300 meters away, and down two floors?

Default Building

Don't focus on the distance because it's something I can handle, I just want to know how can I make a Wifi connection without a WIFI Router between two PC's. Again Thanks for your time.

Anyway the distance between each computer it's almost 100mts.
