Default Mah Camera.

I have the nikon coolpix s1
its a digital camera, doubles up as a video camera.
videos are good quality.
I want to start editing them.
As in adding effects and such.
A friend recommended adobe premiere. I said it was to expensive, but is it worth it if i have the money?

Anyways...

Whats a good video converter. cause i think my camera makes the videos a different format, then i am allowed to edit, It said that in WMM.

Thanks

In no way is Premiere Pro worth it for an amateur video editor who just uses a digi cam as a video camera.

Premiere Elements may be worth it however, since it has all the basic and moderate editing tools you'll ever need.
