can anyone reccomend a good pair of 200- USD wireless headphones for me?
i was looking at these here: http://reviews.cnet.com/Panasonic_RP....html?tag=also ![]() they come with rca l/r and optical connections, but im just wondering if all the dolby and dts stuff encoding will be affected by the type of connection that i use. i would think not, because all the encoding goes through the wires to the encoding box and then the phones after it has been decoded, by my logic could be flawed there if anyone can reccomend a seemingly better model in my price range please do! i feel so lost in this audio headphone business

you have to connect it via the optical to get surround sound
it has it's own decoder i personally use the $100 IR headphones made by sony from best buy for listening in my room i also have a pair of the RF headphones (also $100 by sony) that i used for listening to music in different rooms of the house (they have a LONG range, and can go through walls) they don't sound anywhere near as good as the IR ones, tho. If you can do without surround sound (which you wont get unless the movie is in ac3 and you hook them up with optical anyways) you could spend a lot less and get just as good of sound. |

ok so let me see if i understand this correctly
optical>analog and without optical, the surround wont work on them and i dont thik i really understand how this dobly sutff works does your dvd or app. that you play have to have dolby so you can hear it, or does the decoder do that for you? edit: i found these headphones, not infared, but 2.4ghz, would they mess with my wireless network? ![]() http://www.abtelectronics.com/review...l#ReviewHeader also, i have this right now, and i dont think im a big audio sensitive person http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16826106932 i would prefer not having to stay in los of the reciever, but if the audio is going to be of poorer quality or just above that of those 14 dollar headphones, infared may be better
