Default Intel will cut the price of Q6600 and it will release two new Quad-core in Q3 2007

There is no doubt that many of you heard that Intel will cut the prices on April 22, but intel will cut the prices even more in Q3 2007 before AMD releases Barcelona.

As you see in the picture intel will cut down the price of Q6600 to $266. Intel will also replace their QX6700 with Q6700 and it will be priced at $530. Intel will also release their high-end quad core processor CPU, the QX6800.

Even a program as simple as firefox uses as many as 10 threads, so being able to divide those up has to have amazing performance gains.

i guess it depends on the motherboard you buy

and the ram

even a 9x multiplier's enough to reach some wicked speeds with todays motherboard and memory technology, tho.

They're trying to stop as many people as possible from buying AMD quad-cores, no matter what the cost is (they have far more cash to throw about than AMD).

'tis the nature of Capitalism.
