Default "Projected" computer specs?

Does anyone know of a site that has projected computer specs? It can even be a little out of date... Basically, for my final project in my web class, I thought I might work with these projected specs and make some script that estimates the specs for any given year.

Basic specs are fine... RAM, HD, processor speed(kind of hard to calculate that now...) etc. I know the stuff's out there but I'm having a hard time searching for it

Im not sure how far out you want to go, but in PC Magazine, they are saying that by next year we will have true quad-cores running at 3Ghz+, with a 45nm process. They are also working on an octa-core CPU as well
