Default DSL on 2 computers

Were getting DSL soon, and were getting a DSL modem with only 1 port, I am aware that you can buy a router that supports DSL and you hook the modem up to the "WAN" port on the router, and then connect the 2 PC's to it. But what im asking is when you go to network connections, will there only be 1 connection showing as a LAN, or 2 connections, one as a LAN and 1 as a High-Speed internet?
