Default memory error

my memory is twinmos 256 pc 3200...but why i cannot upgrade my memory to 2x256 twinmos pc 3200 in my Abit Nf-7s motherboard, athlonXP 2400+?
i got a lot of an error message when booting to windowsXP
i am not remember the error message exactly, but something like "cannot write to documents and settings" or "cannot read to C:\windows...." some thing like that...in error message box....when i klicked ok...a new error messages appears
my both memory is ok...
ony one have solutions? please....

1) have you tried each memory stick separately?
2) what dimm slots are you putting them in? your manual says to put them in starting with slot 3 (the one thats kind of separate from the others) going to slot 1 which seems kind of counter-intuitive
3) have you checked the BIOS to see what it says?

1. yes i did...and both of them is ok...no problem
2. i put in dimm3 and dimm2, and i try to changed in another dimm too
3. I was updated the BIOS, and i saw dual channel is ok...

but i can boot to safemode and linux normaly...and my memory is 512MB in safemode and linux...i just cannot load to windosXP
