Default editing front pannel connectors. to fit motherboard. some help plz.

OK so i got a new rig. and I want to use my front pannel. audio out. but with my case it's got 3.5mm jacks to plug into the motherboard. but my motherboard only has pin connections for front pannel. and i didnt want to plug them in the back cause it woulda looked ugly and defeat half the purpose so i cut the 3.5mm jacks off and tryed to do some home wireing. but obviously it didn't work.
