So I was fortunate to aquire this machine in a tower setup ,but it needs major upgrading, it has 2 small SCSI HD's and a cd-rom optical with 64 megs of sysytem ram
.The processors are 2 Xenon 2.80Ghz. http://www.supermicro.com/products/m...7505/X5DA8.cfm. My question is can I make this a SERIOUS gaming machine and if not what are its potentials?? If you could make this happen and you had $1000.00 what would you do to it?? Thanks in advance |

I think this machine is more suited to be set up as a serious gaming server, than a serious gaming machine...

It would be hard to make it into a serious gaming machine. First of all, it probably only supports slow server ram, in this case, DDR 200/266. Second of all, it only has an AGP X8 slot, so you can't use any of the newest video cards.
