What do you think of this

XFX GF 6600 PCI-E 256mb - DDR DVI/TV

will this be good enough to run far cry, doom 3, war craft ect with a P4 3.2 1gb of ram etc

it will run them, not at max settings but at above average detail (doom 3 and warcraft you can max out though).

You don't think he'd be able to run Far Cry at max settings? I have a P4 3.4 GHz and a 9600XT 256MB and I run at max. Or am I just an idiot who doesn't know what the hell he's talking about... yeah that could be it.

you can run Far Cry on full(with some AA and AF) with a decent framerate? the 6600 isn't clocked as crazy as the 6600GT

You can safely squeeze out quite a lot from the 6600 core! Loads more! That could improve things .
