so ive got this 2.1 sound system and it connects to my computer through one cord that plugs into the green jack on my onboard sound card. the problem is the sound only comes out of one speaker. do i need to download some drivers or is this a hardware problem?

Have you tried wiggling the cord? Also look in the Audio properties to make sure the Balance slider isnt all over to one side.
