Default Network Device

i recently formatted and installed wp pro/w sp2 on an emachines w3052 machine that previously had xp home on it, and now i cant see the net work device on the mother board. I dont wanna go out and buy another network card to fix this problem. Can anyone offer any advice on this.

Also, how do i find the driver for the windows xp pro sm bus controller. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Try finding all drivers available on emachines website for that machine.

According to their website, they don't list many drivers. Here is there list of drivers....http://www.emachines.com/support/pro...es&model=W3052
Perhaps you have a PCI network card or you have bad motherboard that is not recognizing the pci slots or intergrated network card. How old is this computer? Or maybe you fubared the install up? Hard telling actually. Did this computer come with a restoration cd or back up partition to reinstall the OS? Provide us with more information so we can help you possibly.
