Default Finally made the switch

Removed Norton, ran the removal tool, restarted, and installed AVAST. I registered and downlaoded the latest updates. I ran the scan and found 3 trojans and 2 pieces of malware. I moved everything to the virus chest and then deleted everything. I ran the scan again and came up clean. I guess all the stuff I've read about Norton missing things was pretty accurate.

Yeah, I had Norton and when I got my new MOBO I got rid of it, it took ages to start up, you had to pay for it and it sucked!

I use AVG now.

I know, It isn't at all good...

Yeah, Avast and AVG are the best, but some will say one is better than the other, but I don't think there's a difference other than the name

I'm not sure about memory usage, but we'll hope AVAST works well for me. I just used Norton because it came with a year free when I first bought my pc a few years ago. The interface of AVAST was horrible, but I changed the skin and it looks much better. It is a little confusin, but I just installed it yesterday, so I'm sure in a few days I'll get a little more used to it.

I blew 3 hard drives from viruses when I used Norton. I use AVG now and like it a little better than Avast only because it seems more user friendly. Comodo has an AntiVirus, but I haven't tried it.
