Default Macromedia Flash Player & Vista Home Premium

I have downloaded the Macromedia Flash Player several times with a positive install. However, when I goto a website that runs flash it doesn't work? Is there an on/off function somewhere? In Internet options the Shockwave flash object is enabled.... Is this a known conflict?

This is why you should wait to buy vista. I have no idea on what to do with both of your problems it sounds like it is a common problem so it might take awhile to get fixed. This is why I never buy new operating systems until they have been out for 6 months to a year.
