Hello,

I use an HP nx7300 (RU452ET) Notebook

It originally came with a 6-cell battery rated 10.8v 4000mAh providing 43Wh. With wireless on, brightness up, and when surfing the net, it gave around 2 hours 20 minutes. Okay I guess, but not excellent.

Because this isn't long enough for me, I purchased an 8-cell battery for £50 from eBay, rated 14.4v 4800mAh providing 69Wh. With wireless on, brightness up, and when surfing the net, I can get 3 hours 45 minutes runtime using the 8-cell battery, and over 4 hours with wireless off and brightness down. Much better.

I'll be upgrading the Celeron M 430 processor to a Core Duo T2400 next week. It will be interesting to see the difference it will make.

About 4 hours if it's just idle and doing nothing.

Gateway CX2610 (notebook) and 4h plus if LED's turned off and screen brightness turned down. I also keep wireless off if not in use.

Averatec 3270 - ~ 2.5-3 hours with wifi enabled, lowest screen brightness, and running around 800MHz. It's final for casual surfing...

It's got some age on it, coming around 2 years now. *knock on wood* that it'll keep on lasting around this long I'm not quite ready to purchase a new one.

I didn't think anyone else on a computer forum would have such a budget laptop

What do you think of yours? I think mine's great for the price!

Zero problems so far.
