Default looking at external harddrives

hi all,
I'm looking at getting an external hard drive to use with my laptop. Mainly for saving a couple of games on, music and files as the hard drive in the laptop is only 20gb.
is this one any good

Any suggestions or ideas on some to look at.

I used that exact drive at work a good few times. Seagate are apparently some of the top rated external 2.5" drives.

I asked for such a drive for Christmas and got this one...

(though with a protective case) So far I would strongly recommend it as well. The Seagate definetly has better cooling, but the WD is rating fairly high as well, and is quite fast.

One thing you might want to look into, though...some computers require that Y USB connector. The Seagate has it, the WD doesn't.

How about one slightly larger for a lower price that you can carry in your pocket? Western Digital's Passport 120gb usb powered drive seen at http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16822136059 is one to consider. You will need to look over a few vendors in your region to see what they actually carry however.
