Default How can I keep it as Icons

Hello guys,

I tried this a lot of time and didnt work. And today my brother asked me how to do it and i just said I dont know, which was quite embarassing.

I would like to know how do we keep our icons - the word documents or any files that is in our memory pen or My Document- as icons. You know what I mea???

If we I open My Doucment or memory stick, it will show all the files in tiles. If I right click > view > Icons, it will stay for a while, if I click on the back button, it will come back to the first view, which is tiles. If anyone have any doubt or dont understand, please dont hesitate to ask...

Please help me if you know what I mean...Thank you

The first thing you do when opening any explorer window is go to the "View" dropdown list on the explorer bar and choose from the list of options. Extra large icons, large icons, medium icons, small icons, list, details, and tiles. If you have the "remember folder settings" option checked off in the tools>folder options many times you can browse back to the same folder and still it the same.

In Explorer, click Views>Icons. Then click on Tools>Folder Options...Then click the View tab and click apply to all folders. It'll change all folders to view with icons.

The main problem now eill be whenever viewing some folder where you want tiles or details all will be set to icons. For files and sub folders alike the "list" option is generally selected without change to any other folder seen. Remember there are different sizes of icons as well. All will be that one size when set to that.

I know what it's like not wanting big tiles when browsing a folder loaded with a ton of files trying to locate just one. You spend forever scrolling down through the list of them. That goes for having the details option set as well where you scroll sideways for an hour.

yeah. but the detailed option dosent look much good. If looks good when it become icons rather than filmstirp or anything else. Also, like you said we dont have to waste hours on scrolling.

When you go through thousands of files of different types after some time your eyes will start to "bug out" and will be quite sore from scroll after scroll to find any one specific file. That goes for "details" as well as "tiles" there too. "when will I find this file ...... scroll some more ..... scroll some more.. .... ?"
