Angry IDIOTS on the road

So today, after school, went to pick up lunch at Wendy's because I didn't have any money in my account at school for lunch. So as I am heading home, taking a left onto a street from a 55mph road. See a lady come flying down the road. Can't take the left quick because cars are in my way. As she comes closer, she doesn't see me. I then realize I am about to be smashed and floor it, simply out of fear.

I should have gone about 3/4 throttle for traction, but I wasn't thinking, and all I ended up doing was a burnout. So she smashes into me at 45 MPH. She clipped the entire right side of my bumper. How could she not notice my left turn signal or the brake lights?

So its going to be about $700 for the repair, that she/insurance will be paying, plus a rental.

I am really pissed because it could have so easily been avoided by paying a little more attention.

How do people manage to pay so little attention? I am only 16, almost 17, but I am a safe driver. She was in college, I believe.

Well. It's mostly just supidity. Was she talking on the phone? Maybe distracted? Maybe just an idiot? I know how it is, I live in Atlanta. It's horrible. Sorry about the loss of the money though. Sucks when stuff like that happens

i cant believe women drivers get cheaper insurance than men here in the uk....they cause most of the crashes by not paying attention or always been on their mobile phone (Cell phone)

Don't you just hate dipshits sometimes... I'm looking forward to being driving, but stories like these make me think twice.

Oh I've had my fair share of being rear-ended... The most recent, I was stopping at a stop sign, and the girl behind me didn't. She thought I was going to blow it!
