Hello all, im new to these forums and this is my first post
Anyway, i just recently purchased a Video surveillance system and I am trying to hook it up.
It consists of a wireless camera, reciever that plugs in through USB, which is also how it gets its power..
Well, i hooked everything up and i plugged the reciever into my laptop and i have the driver disk inside and the windows xp home installed the driver and it works perfectly, however, when i did the same thing on my newly formatted desktop pc with windows xp pro edition (With all updates), it installed the reciever driver, however, at the end it gave me a message "The driver was not installed successfully and that the device might not be working properly" and click the finish button, and of course, the device did not work...even when i restarted.
I tried uninstalling and reinstalling several times... i did the same on my laptop and it works perfectly fine on my laptop, just not my desktop. It seems like the problem lies with perhaps the USB drivers/updates on my desktop? Is there anything i can do to fix this problem?
Thank you very much for your helps/tips.
