Default torrent and comp

am running a cable internet connection and when i try to download torrents it is really slow. I called my friend and he said that the torrent that im trying to download has 100+ seeders. im thinking this is a problem with me it could be my comp or it could be my connection. i am trying to download naruto, an unlicensed anime

here are my comp specs tell me if i need anything else
AMD athalon XP 3000+ 333fsb 128k L1 512K L2Barton SOcket A Cpu
Aspire b3klw black 350w ps with front USB2 thermal moniter stealth cd rom bays
Lite ON balck 16x double layer DVD RW
Western Digital 200GB 7200 RPM SATA hard drive 8mb cache
Biostar m7ncd-ultra nforce 2 400 ultra atx mainboard with dual ddr/sata raid/audio lan
Kingston 521 MB ram 2 sticks
ati radeon 9600xt 128 mb ddr video card
dual fan power supply volcano
i am thinking of switching to ADSL for gaming is this a good choice
i am running an ethernet connection with no router just comp to modem

what good internet service providers are there in minnesota. I currently have comcast and it sucks for BT what good clients are out for bittorrent that i would have better luck with

Have you tried using different listener ports?? Usually thats the problem (as well as well as routers getting in the way of things)

dont mess with the ports... it will only gives u trouble...
check how much upload u allow... if its the maximum reduce it...

like if u have 12k upload reduce it to something like 6-9... giving your whole upload capacity will make your download slower...
and check the maximum simultaneously uploads and set it to 2.

this settings works for me when im dling
