Default What Speakers should I get?

I used to have the Logitech Z-5500's but I blew the subwoofer about 6 months ago and have been using heaphones ever since. I want to get new speakers but I cant afford that much. What speakers would you reccommend that are 5.1 and have a lot of bass for music and are good for gaming to?

awwww spewin dude ive got them speakers atm and they are awesome as ay. how did u manage to blow the sub lol?

i would probaly stick with logitech because they are awesome for that kinda stuff, previously before the Z-5500 i had the X-530, little less powerful, still 5.1 and the sub is a little less bulky. im not sayin bulky is bad but they still good performing speakers and let alone the price. i paid AUD$100 for mine bout 4 months ago so thats about US$70 for you.

I have no idea how I managed to blow the sub it wasn't even turned up all the way. What about the X-540's I think they are a newer version of the X530's but I miss my Z-5500's.

a cheaper alternative...

I have the 2.1 speaker of the same make and they sound excellent, a surprising mix of range and acoustic depth for a budget set.

Although I didn't have a desire to blast music from them, I have a 600 watt home theater system for that.

The x-540's have an in-line (wired) remote control, so that the bass, volume, and power controls aren't on the speaker/sub. They also have this thing that will make 2.0 sound into 5.1, although I use software for that.

IMO, it's not worth the extra $30, then again, I suppose it depends on your setup...
