Default A good Network Storage Device?

I currently have the Netgear SC101 network storage device that has 2 (500GB) drives. Well the device died and I can not access my data. The box uses a different filing system then windows. Now I am in the market for a new network capable drives. Here is the features I am looking for

1. Most important. Be able to pull the drive out of the housing and plug it directly into a pc and be able to read and access the data. So the filing system would have to be NTSF.

2. Takes IDE Drives. Will consider SATA drives

3. Ethernet connection
