Default XP PRO x64

Under the system requirements it has this for processors:

Supported processors: AMD Athlon 64, AMD Opteron, Intel Xeon with Intel Extended Memory 64 Technology (EM64T) support, Intel Pentium 4 with Intel EM64T support

I have a Intel Core 2 Duo, can I install xp pro x64 with this processor?

I didn;t like XP x64

I found NO added benefit(Speed etc.) and my camera's and card readers would not work.

I would not recommend getting XP Pro x64, mainly because it was a huge flop and hardware/software programmers never had as much "need" to create drivers for XP Pro x64. If you want XP, just go with the 32-Bit version, but if you want a 64-Bit OS, go with Vista.

Normally i'd agree but "normal" 64bit drivers are a pain, vista is a pain ... so vista64 is prolly not the best idea.

They can be a pain, but compared to Pro x64, Vista has many more compatible drivers
