Auto shutdown
Dell Insiron 5100
I'm well aware of the overheating issues with this model, but I don't think I have an overheating issue. This weekend my laptop would simply turn off, no warning just black screen. Sometimes you could push the power button and get it to reboot, and sometimes when you pushed the power button it would do nothing unless you waited a while. The cpu temp never got over 42c, all dust is cleaned out of it. It did this plugged in or on battery. I can't 100% confirm this but it seemed to happen whenever I moved it around while using it. Is it possible the battery could be causing this? I took the battery out and so far it hasn't done it but I haven't used it that much to confirm this. The battery held a charge and worked fine. |
