another problem with a file format this time ".001

I have movies files with those endings and when I try to burn it onto a cd it gives me errors such as unrecognizable files...

can someone tell me how to watch this movie or a way to convert it...

also to add when I clicked on extension .002 + it makes this rewinding screetching noise... any suggested problems?
